BRADLEY BAKOTIC, DPM, DO

Dr. Bakotic is a dermatopathologist and Founder of the Rhett Foundation for the Advancement of Podiatric Medical Education.

He Founded, and served as CEO, Bako Integrated Physician Solutions for 9 years. Dr. Bakotic was educated as a Podiatrist at Barry University and continued his medical education at the University of New England where he matriculated with a Doctorate of Osteopathy.

Following his didactic career, he completed a composite pathology residency at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts and at the University of Miami/Mount Sinai Medical Center in Florida, where he was the chief pathology resident. He went on to complete fellowships in oncologic surgical pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and dermatopathology at the Ackerman Academy/Columbia University, both in New York.

JOSEPH ``JODY`` HACKEL, MD

Joseph G. Hackel, MD (Jody) grew up in Georgia and attended Mercer University School of Medicine before his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology in Phoenix, AZ. His dermatopathology fellowship was at Columbia University (New York City) under the direction of A. Bernard Ackerman, MD where he and Dr.

Bradley Bakotic were co-fellows. His entire 18 year career has been geared to serving the podiatry community in conjunction with Dr. Bakotic.

Licensed to practice medicine in 23 states, he is a member of the College of American Pathologists, the International Society of Dermatopathology and the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. He is married with 2 daughters and enjoys golf, wine and water activities.

G. DOCK DOCKERY, DPM

Dr. Dockery has authored five textbooks, innumerable book chapters, and over 150 scientific articles. He altruistically founded the International Foot & Ankle Foundation for Education and Research in 1979 and remains Chairman of their Board.

BRYAN MARKINSON, DPM

Bryan is currently Associate Professor and Chief of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY. In addition, he’s an instructor in the Department of Dermatologic Surgery and a Team member of the Skin Cancer and Melanoma Unit of the Tisch Cancer Center.

ANNETTE JOYCE, DPM

Dr. Joyce was elected “One of the Most Influential Podiatrists in America in 2017” by Podiatry Management Journal. She is a current member of the Council for Nail Disorders. She is a peer reviewer for the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association (JAPMA), and a pioneer in practice management as it pertains to PCR, dermatology lasers, and micro-drilling.

JOEL MORSE, DPM

Dr. Morse was elected president of the American Society of Podiatric Dermatology (ASPD) in 2006 and used his influence to build the Cherry Blossom Dermatology Seminar (CBDS) into the most dominant academic meeting of its type. He remains co-director and Scientific Chair of CBDS, now designed as DermFoot

JEFFREY FREDERICK, DPM

Dr. Frederick is a six sigma green belt, a licensed insurance producer for the property and casualty Michigan, the recipient of the MPMA Chairman’s award and the MPMA president’s award. He has been named Podiatrist of the Year for the state of Michigan, where he also won the state’s leadership award.

MICHAEL BRODY, DPM

Dr. Brody founded the podiatric residency program at DVAMC Northport where he served as residency director. In addition to his work in private practice, he actively participates in MIPS/MACRA and other Health Information Technology initiatives; becoming an authority in regulation compliance.

MARY CRAWFORD, DPM

Dr. Crawford has been a leader in the field of podiatric medicine and surgery as author of many articles and co-author of three textbooks focusing on dermatology and plastic surgery of the lower extremity. She became the first-ever female president of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in 2009 and is active on the Board of Directors for the International Foot and Ankle Foundation for Education and Research.
